“I liked the look of the previous generation of this car a bit
more, but the styling and build quality are great. Plus it’s got tons
of power and awesome handling, and Mazda didn’t produce that many so
it’s fairly unique,” says Tse. The early-2007 models had recalls for
engine cooling, so opt for a 2008 or 2009 in the $12,000-$18,000
range—or spend a little more for a 2010, which features big
improvements in handling and ride.
