Luke 21:29-33
Jesus taught His disciples a lesson. “Consider the fig tree and all
the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and
know that summer is now near; in the same way, when you see these things
happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all
these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My
words will not pass away.”
Reflection:
Jesus taught them a lesson. Lessons do not always come from books and
sayings or teachings. They can come from trees, from nature, and from
experience. Some of the greatest lessons are from Jesus’ words. Be open
and be ready to read them.
A student asks his esteemed teacher, “Where did you get your good decisions?”
“Well, from bad experiences.”
“And where did you get your bad experiences?”
“Ah, from bad decisions.”
The only mistakes in life, they say, are those we do not learn from.
Wise men learn from the mistakes of others. Fools learn from their own
mistakes.
Give your kids choices today.
