All-Iloilo stars Stallions FC surprised Global FC with a first half onslaught to win the UFL 2011 opener, 3-2 !
Francis Gustilo opened the season scoring with an unexpected mid-line strike that left Global GK Pascual panicking beyond his line to score on the 10th minute!
As if Gustilo's amazing goal was not enough,, Jovanie Simpron and skipper Reuben Doctora ,Jr., scored on the 44th and 54th , respectively, to keep the Stallions comfortably ahead. While, Global dominated the last thirty minutes of the game with some futile attacks and desperation shots particularly from its left flank courtesy of Janrick Soriano, the Stallions meanwhile were reduced to a beleaguered defensive team.Global finally found the net on the 66th with Sery's magical shot. Then, skipper Elhabbib scored on the 84th off a lucky bounce at the goal mouth as Stallion's GK Munoz accidentally dropped the ball for the final score line !
Meanwhile, the following October 9 games at the University of Makati Stadium were postponed to due unplayable field:
