San Sebastian 73-63 Ateneo
San Sebastian started strong right from the gates then led most of the game to finish strong to win the PCCL as the first ever school outside the UAAP!
The Stags won in a very special fashion as they shackled defending back-to-back PCCL champs Ateneo with a stifling zone defense for a 73-67 victory in game 2 of the PCCL Finals!
The Stags thus become the first NCAA and non-UAAP team to win this elite annual national basketball tournament.
Ian Sangalang , adjudged the tourney's MVP , and Alvin Abueva led the Stags in this win as they also made it to this year's Mythical 5 together with Ateneo's Nico Salva and Greg Slaughter as well as UC's big man Junmar Fajardo!
