It was a game played worthy of a FIFA World Cup Final !
Well played, thrilling and finished down the wire.The Final even had to go through extra time and penalty shootout to determine the winner! Both teams played their best football!
As expected , the usual players stepped up for both teams! During regulation and extra time it was Miyama (81st) and Sawa (117th) for Japan ; and , the pair of Morgan (69th) and Wambach (104th) for the US!
The shootout though was an entirely different story as another darling of the crowd emerged, Japanese keeper Ayumi Kaihori!

In the end, a winner has to be crowned and Japan was the better team in this Final! The score: 2-2 after extra time and 3-1 after shootout!
It took a penalty shootout to win this World Cup and this is how it went...truly a World Cup to remember !
