Champions League 2011 Final : It's Man U vs Barca at Wembley!

Champions League 2011 Final : It's Man U vs Barca at Wembley!

The stage is set for the UEFA Champions League 2011 Final at Wembley and the cast is down to 2 of the best clubs from Europe, Manchester United FC and FC Barcelona!

Both are previous winners of the Cup with three championships each with Man U winning one in Barcelona's own Stadium Camp Nou in 1999 when it was then led by the prolific Dwight York! Both teams have clashed  in a Champions League Final only once and that was won by Barcelona in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome back in 2008-09!

This year,  the exciting Final will be staged in Wembley Stadium , London! Whether you like it or not, notwithstanding the hordes of Barcelona fans globally  , the Final will be a homecourt advantage of sorts for the Red Devils!

And to think that it's been 33 long years since the last Wembley Final was held and won by an English team , the Hitachi-sponsored and Umbro-geared Liverpool led by the legendary Ken Daglish and managed by the most revered Bob Paisley in season 1977-78!

So this year  , another English team attempts to make history on English soil in what is arguably England's holy land of football , Wembley  Stadium!

Take your pick : hometown favorite Man U or Spanish powerhouse Barca?

Me? I say , let the hostilities begin!
