What have Manny Pangilinan and Manny Villar in common? They both have the same first names!

And what's common between singer-songwriter Lady Gaga and writer Krip Yuson? They both write!

So what have Manny Pangilinan , Manny Villar, Lady Gaga and Krip Yuson all have in common? 

Answer: They all have the letter "Y"  in their names!

Corny , right! Seriously  though all four celebrities , in whatever way , have been accused of plagiarism!

Manny Pangilinan (MVP)? Plagiarism ? Seriously now? The last person you would ever suspect of allegedly using other' s pieces of work as his own and for a commencement speech, at that, at the Ateneo! You inspire and motivate the graduates with a speech you were never inspired nor motivated to write? Now what exactly does inspiration and motivation mean?

Manny Villar , plagiarizing? Yup, another case of allegedly using some ad piece  for his own campaign ad during the last Presidential elections! You aspire for the Presidency, the highest office in the land , and you just use a presumably "copied" campaign ad? Think about having a very creative think-tank and what it can potentially bring to our country , if ...

Of late , there is even net talk which has escalated into net war about Krip Yuson allegedly passing off another sports journalist's  article as his own in a national magazine! Although he "reluctantly" swallowed his pride to admit a mistake and claims he was forgiven , there was still the fact that he "by- lined" or simply "lifted" someone else's work as his.  To think that you are a Hall of Fame writer-awardee ? What is that?

Finally , has anybody ever thought that the song " "Born this Way" by Lady Gaga was allegedly a "xeroxed" (oops! pardon the not so proper  use of the term ) version of an older song  presumably by another artist? And to think children may again  sing the song with credits to Lady Gaga?
