Today is our date with the Academy Awards and I 'm tempted to go back to the Oscars over 30 years ago !

Anybody still remembers the movie " The Deer Hunter" ? Or perhaps,  the right question should be " Has anybody heard of the movie ' The Deer Hunter' " ? Yes , it won  Best Picture and Best Actor in a Supporting Role ,  to name a few, for an unknown Christopher Walken in the 1979 Academy Awards!

This hit song was written in 1967 by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio and sung by Frankie Valli . It became more popular  with its inclusion in the 1978 movie  "The Deer Hunter"  which earned 10  Oscar nominations and won 5 awards including Best Sound in 1979!

Well , speaking of the Oscars , we all  look forward to today's 83rd Academy Awards  winners!
