Yes, you all got it right , Lionel Messi won the prestigious FIFA Ballon d'Or over Barcelona teammates and World Cup 2010 champs , Xavi and Andres Iniesta of Spain!
Messi despite not being able to lead his Argentina team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup also won this award in 2009. He therefore joins the likes of Ronaldo (youngest winner), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer and Alfredo Di Stefano as double winners for this award. Three players though have won this award three times : Marco van Basten, Johan Cruyff and Michel Platini.
